I am originally from Tennessee and moved to Wales in 2013, where I have become a fluent Welsh speaker. I recently completed my PhD in Welsh-contextual theology and currently live in Yr Wyddgrug (Mold) with my wife, Catrin, and our three energetic boys, all of whom are under five years old! In my spare moments, you will likely find me on the back of a road bike, trail running, or searching for the perfect coffee and pastry.
I have been privileged to serve in various ministry settings, working with children and young adults, as well as engaging in preaching, pastoral care, and mission and evangelism—primarily through the medium of Welsh. Most recently, I served as the Formation Lead and Tutor in Theology, Mission, and Ministry with Church Army.
Research interests
My PhD lies at the generative intersection of practical and contextual theology, missiology, and systematic theology, especially the doctrines of God and ecclesiology. I also interested in the relationship between theology and Welsh culture and politics.
