Library and Information Services

St Padarn’s has an in-house theological library open 24 hours for our students and available for reference for guests on application. The collection comprises approximately16,000 books, 30 journals, newspapers and periodicals. Online resources include an eBook collection and other subscription resources all accessible via the Heritage Library Catalogue and Moodle.

The library collection includes a specialist chaplaincy collection supporting the work and research of the Cardiff Centre for Chaplaincy Studies. This growing collection stands at over 600 items, including a unique collection of over 100 dissertations focussing on chaplaincy.

Facilities include study desks, computer workstations, self-service printing and photocopying and wireless internet access.

The Librarian and Information Officer, Anna Williams, provides learning support for a broad spectrum of student and staff needs. This includes literature search and enquiry services, current awareness bulletins, ICT help and advice, tailored information literacy sessions and a postal loan service.
